In the area of calima, at the
northwest of Cali, archaeology has recovered but of 9,000 years of
history having found superposed vestiges of different societies that
inhabited the zone in successive periods: Pre-ceramic of the first
semi-nomads settlers and denominated ILAMA, YOTOCO and SONSO
between the sedentary groups.
Towards the year 1500
B.C, sedentary agriculturalists, experts on an ample range of
cultures, lived in comfortable houses constructed in small parts
of the forest. Expert potters, left in their pots the first
representations of the inhabitants of the region; people of
forgotten name that the archaeologists denominate “ILAMA”.
Territory ILAMA
included smooth hills of the middling valley of the Calima and
Dagua rivers and extended towards the slopes of the Pacific.
